Today I left Rosings and I also left Charlotte. I wonder how she'll fair with the upperclass that her husband surounds himself with. I will miss her dearly and can only hope for her happiness there.
Dear Lizzie, Do not worry yourself with Charlotte! She'll be fine with Mr. Collins and all the luxuries that come with being married to him. Mr. Collins would never intentionally harm Charlotte. The only thing that Charlotte has to be careful of if losing herself and former personality due to all of the finery that she is surrounded by. As long as she remembers that life isn't all about money and jewels, she should be just fine.
Dear Lizzy, I agree Lizzy that living with a man as concede as Collins will be hard on Charlotte, but Charlotte knew what she was getting into when she married him. Charlotte has to live with her own actions, and if she is unhappy, she has no one to blame but herself. I know she is your friend, Lizzy, and that you love her like a sister, but don’t beat yourself up about her happiness with Collins because remember you did try to warn her. You did your job as a friend. -Darcy
